Tracy... my best wishes go out to you for a speedy recovery. On 8/12/03 I had a Lap Roux-en-Y procedure. I am 5'10 an weighed 257 at the time. Now, less than 5 months later, I am 179 and I feel and look great!!! All things are possibkle, you just have to believe girl!!! I was back to work 1 week after my surgery and I am a lucky one that has had no complications. Drink lots of water and walk walk walk... sounds crazy now, but after the surgery, you will have so much energy you won't know what to do with it. Everyone gets a little scared right before... so hang in there... thing of the things you will be able to do with your kids by Spring, if not sooner!!! [email protected] email me if you need to talk.

Tracy, Keep your faith. This is the best move you could make. I was also nervous the night before. But as my doctor stated the worst day was the first day, it was like having muscle gramps in your stomach, I was up and about on day 2 as have many people. Your in my prayers. All is well, just remeber this is the beginning of a new and better you!!!!! Catherine

Tracy, Congratulations and best wishes for a smooth and speedy recovery! Don't forget to take a pillow and/or a Bari Buddy with you to the hospital, you won't be sorry that you did! You need the pillow for all kinds of comforts from coughing to side support and frankly sometimes the hospital pillows just aren't really great. bright blessings to you in this part of the journey and much success too!
