april 6-7 so far all is well. the only time i get any pain at my staples is when i stand up or when i sit down. walking is a bit odd. i'm alittle stiff and i tense up when i walk and that causes my stomach area to hurt. almost had a problem with constipation but luckily caught it in time. started on some prune juice(yuk) and metamucil. i have to really force myself to drink enough water. i went to the dr for my 7 day check to remove the drain and I LOST 11LBS!!! really cool. my wife was very excited. i can now eat anything suitable as long as it is pureed. i started with some type of chichen pot pie soup. aahhh, the flavor again. i'll move on to meats and stuff when i find out if anything starts to give me a problem. so, after 1 week, feeling great!! robin

april 6 slept well last night. i am surprised how little the operation is bothering me. the stitches burn alittle from time to time and when i stand up i have an ache around the cut but thats to be expected. as long as i lay still don't feel anything bad. the problems i am having are from sitting all day i think. my right thigh gets numb and after awhile begins to hurt. also i developed an allergy to silk adhesive tape and when they took the tape off some skin was removed. that is very tender. also, last night i started getting a horrible taste in my mouth. i cannot get rid of it. my surgery book says it is common but biy is it bad!
