"My first impression: The office staff was very friendly. I saw Dr. Swartz very briefly. I had read comments by other patients as to how brief the first appointment would be but was still surprised. Dr. Swartz was professional and polite, not overly friendly or social. I attended the required seminar the night of my initial appointment. Dr. Felix presented the seminar and I was very impressed with him. I liked his personality and his candidness. He is very strict about the aftercare and tells you up front if you are not going to follow his program don't let him cut on you. The seminar was very informative. I have researched this procedure for the last couple of years. At one point I felt I had so much information that I felt like I did not know anything anymore (overwhelmed). I went to the appointment with the idea I was still checking into it and would get a feel for the office and doctors. I felt kind of like they were pushing you through very quickly and felt like if you were in the office you were going to have surgery. I told the nurse that I was going to discuss it with my husband and decide still and she said that was fine. After the seminar that night I was ready to have surgery. Don't know exactly why but my mind was made up. I am scheduled to have surgery with Dr. Felix. I am sure Dr. Swartz would be great too, I just liked the experience Dr. Felix has and liked his personality too. I feel surgical competence is the most important. A good bedside manner is a plus but I can live without it if he is great at what he does. Of course, these are just my personal experiences and impressions."
