Hi Yall, well it's over. I made it through the surgery, now working on recovery. I've had my good and bad moments. As far as the surgery went, it was fine. I haven't been in much abdominal pain, but have had a lot of throat/upper esophagus pain and fever. The hospital was noisy and I was glad to return to my own bed and surroundings yesterday afternoon. I'm sure each day will be better. I have a lot of adjusting to do! Keep me in your prayers. Thanks for all the support you've been giving me. It's been the encouragement I needed to make this live chainging decision. I love each of you for making a difference in my life!

Attention everyone especially everyone in Alabama. I saw Patsie today and she is doing wonderful!!!! She had Lap RNY this morning and has already been sitting up and was planning on going for a walk later this evening. She says she is so thirsty that she is looking forward to drinking the barium in the morning. I guess she doesnt know how nasty that stuff is. So everyone please go by her page and wish her welcome.

i Patsie! Isn't this amazing! We are almost there. I wish you the best and can't wait to meet you either. I'm scared too, but I more than ready to have this behind me. I'll be the short (5'4") lady with blond streaks in my shoulder length hair. Look for me and we can do laps together. I wish you a speedy recovery as well. See you soon. Carol
