Blue Cross HMO, denied my surgery because they said I also needed the co-morbs of sleep apnea, poorly controlled diabetes and a reflux gastro disease. I am planning to appeal. Felt so bad when denied I never wanted to eat again. Now just trying to eat sm amts of food as if I did have the surgery. I know it sounds crazy, but believe it or not its working so far, so good. But I'm still going to give the insurance company a piece of my mind. It can't hurt to try. Wish me luck, but what will be will be...
