Hi Tonya! I saw something about these "silver-" based vitamins just the other day. I guess they're being touted as an effective preventitive measure against SARS. They had a Dr. on who said that, while they do help to boost the immune system (a little), it doesn't stop SARS and the trace amounts of silver in them can do serious harm to your internal organs that can't process it. I'd recommend you ask your surgeon (your PCP may not know what our needs are) before trying ANY vitamins beyond what they already recommend. BTW, a friend of mine who was always popping aspirin (or Motrin, I'm not sure which) ended up doing damage to her liver post-op because she never asked if it was OK to continue with what she'd been taking for so long. Best wishes to you and good luck on your journey!

Hi Tonya, I too have tried all the cpap maske, I am on a bipap again but they ordered me a full face mask after i told my dr that i would try it- and guess what? IT WORKS !! I am hoping yours works for u too. I sometimes still wake up with it pulled off and lying next to me in bed- but then I just put it back on and go back to sleep! I was scheduled for surgery ap 28th but got cancelled at my pre ops for low oxygen level. They are wanting to do a trach on me now-- pretty drastic I think for me not even being on home oxygen yet. The next meeting is in 3 weeks so I will be HOPING they will have resolved it by then. Take care and good luck with the new mask! De :)

Silly me, my daughter distracted me and I hit the button before I told you the website! It is: http://www.cpapman.com. Sorry! ---J.J.

Hi Tonya! My name is J.J., and I just wanted to tell you that it does get easier with the c-pap. I didn't think I would ever be able to wear that mask with the nose pillows. But that is the only one they would offer me because my insurance company only buys the very first one, and I roll around a lot in bed, and the nose pillows are the best for that. The first time I tried it, I could only sleep about 45 minutes with it on... if I got to sleep at all. But slowly over time, it increased to 3 hours, then 6 then all night. It took me months though, so I do hope it happens faster for you. Also, there is a website that cells cpap/bipap stuff and also has a lot of tips/info for users of this equipment. Good luck! --- J.J.
