"I had my initial consultation with Dr. Batay-Csorba on June 17, 2002. The nurse who brought me in was very personable and compassionate. Dr. Batay-Csorba explained the procedure to me and was very interested in making sure that I asked any questions that I might have. He made deeper inquiries about my medical history and pronounced me "a candidate" for the surgery. He made the risks and results very clear. Next I met Melanie, the patient advisor, who has also had the surgery. She explained the importance of aftercare as well as recommended that I attend a group discussion if possible before my surgury, should I decide to do it. I am currently waiting to hear from my insurance company and everyday am becoming more excited at the prospect of becoming a thinner, more healthy, more active person.
Due to BTC not being "in-network" for anyone... I am looking into Dr. Kligman in Toledo. I have heard many, many good things about him and am planning to attend a seminar with him on Dec 10.
Dr. Kligman is booked past Dec. 2003. I am currently working with Henry Ford Health Systems who has put everyone else to shame as far as being organized and devoted to their patients."
