I got to visit Brenda in the hospital today and she looked so good and in such good spirits considering that she had just had major surgery Monday. She was blowing in her thingy, lol and had been up walking around. When it comes to determination to do whatever she can to help her recovery Brenda is a great example. I also got to meet her mom today who will also be having surgery in the future. Congratulations Brenda, you are on your way. Carrie

I called Brenda this morning to find out how her lap RNY went. She sounded in a good bit of pain and said that they had to open her up due to several (6 I think she said) hernia's. One was way up in her throat. I really don't have any more info but I'm going to stop and see her tommorow when I go for my own second visit with the surgeon and hopefully get a date.
