"Dr. Gastwirt is very pleasant, knowledgable and experienced. The staff is very helpful and patient. The program at the Beth Israel in Boston is great. They make sure you see a Nurse and then meet one of the Doctors. The second visit you meet with a nutritionist and a psycologist. Then on the big day you meet with the surgeon. My fist appointment was April 9, 2001 and my surgery is scheduled for July 20. After the surgery you go for a three week followup then 3 month then 6 month all then iI think every 6 months there after. Dr. Gastwirt went over all sorts of risks like bleeding, leaking, dumping. I thought she was wonderful. I really had no questions for her. People I met in the waiting room that had the same surgeon thought she was great also. One girl was there less than three weeks post op looking for a note to go back to work. She looked wonderful."
