10 weeks out from having had my WLS, and I am down about 53 lbs. WOW. What a difference. I am however, constantly afraid that something is wrong, that I will gain the weight back, that I can eat too much... Lots of fears here- is that normal? I'm so grateful to be one of those "lucky few" who have had NO problems whatsoever... I am able to eat everything, and have had no pain or sickness... maybe thats why I am afraid that it's all "too good to be true". I wish that I could get past the fear, and start enjoying the blessings that I have recieved...but how?

Hi guys, Im back in the saddle (not literally).. teehehehe, but Im home. I have had a few comfortable days, and some not so, but my biggest concern at this point is that I HAVEN'T SLEPT A WINK!!! I want to- I really REALLY do. I dont know if its coming off the pain meds or the anesthisia or WHAT! My primary care physician is prescribing something for me tonight, so we'll see if that helps. (HUGE CROSS OF THE FINGERS HERE). Im getting around really well, and am actually suprisingly comfortable with all the eating restrictions and requirements. I think that the hardest thing for me at this point is NOT drinking with meals.... I get so thirsty- then when I do drink, its so hard to remember not to gulp...Im terrified to go to get my staples out... OUCH! Oh well- thats all for now, thanks so much for all your support, and thank GOD for sugar free popsicles! heheheheh (P.S... if you have any advice about the NO SLEEP thing... PLEASE post me a note here at my page, my e-mail is down)

"I WISH YOU ENOUGH"------------I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough pain to make the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you all the very best on your upcoming surgery, a speedy, problem free recovery and a rapid weight loss. (LA MESA, CA.)

Angel flying in to make sure you all post to Cory's surgery page. She will be having surgery in just a few days (November 7th) and boy she is so ready. She has already been shopping for new and exciting foods for post op diet. Her husband is gonna be a great support person for her. So everyone go show your support to Cory, and wish her the best!! We love ya girlie!!

Coryn, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine in November 2000, and I have never had a single regret. One thing that may help to remember is that the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.
