Went to the Dr yesterday. The infection in my belly is finaly coming under control! yea!! I no longer have to pack it, just cover it. I also get to go back to work tomorrow. I still feel a little shaky, but I have an office job so it will be ok!

Sydney Hello~~~I had an infection in the vein that the IV was in. My surgeon sent me to a Blood Specialist, just to be sure. I was extremely tired and it took a whole month to clear up, even with high powered drugs. If you are not feeling confident, please call your surgeon and discuss it with him.

Can't seem to get rid of this infection in my belly! Is there anyone else out there that had to deal with this? How long? Should I be worried? Doctor gave me two high powered antibiotics yesterday. He keeps telling me it will be ok.... Just wondered if anyone else went through this.

Hey all! Am doing fairly well. Got an awful infection in my belly. Dr is trying to get it cleared up. It seems a lot better today. Drainage is something I don't want to have too much longer (phew!) I guess I will have a nastier scar than first anticipated, but other than the infection, all is well. I've lost 20 lbs! Can't complain about that!

Hey Sidney call you doctor and tell him the meds make you sick he will get you some nausea meds for that. They can give you much relief. I pray for a speedy...painfree...recovery. God Bless, Mary

Hi all. Sorry I didn't post earlier. I got home saturday. Can't take any pain meds,they make me sick...sick...sick.. but I think I can handle it. I feel good. The surgery went very well
