I just want to thank everyone who responded to my surgery date. This site is so wonderful and I have learned so much. I really appreciate everyone who keeps us posted with all the ideas and results. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. If there is anyone in the Tampa or Ft. Lauderdale, Fl area I would appreciate chatting with you so that maybe we could meet. I live in Tampa but will be having my surgery in Ft. Lauderdale. Again, thanks and prayers to you all and please stay in touch.

Shirley congradulations on your surgery date. It's so normal to feel scared. It seems like when you get the actual date is when fear sets in. What helped me was to just pray and ask the Lord to give me his peace. I would always ask that if it wasn't his will for me to have this surgery then have it stopped somehow. That seemed to comfort me. Even when they were taking me in for surgery I prayed that. Everything came out fine and I feel so blessed to have had it. 3 weeks out and Im doing wonderful. I finally have a surgery date! I decided to go with Dr. English for my surgery since I could get it done almost a month sooner than waiting for Dr. Carrasquilla. Now I am excited and very nervous. Did all of you feel that way? I will be back after I go for my pre-op and give you an update and I hope to hear from some of you.
