Ronald H. Clements

"When I met Dr. Clements he seemed to be very energetic (wish I had all that). I was surprised by his youthful appearance. His knowledge of the surgery (of course) was extensive. He wanted to make sure that I understood that this isn't like taking diet pills and eating whatever, whenever. This will be a total lifestyle change and adjustment. I am going to have to learn to eat all over again. He stressed the fact that if you cannot give up sugar FOREVER that this surgery is NOT for you (which I understand...just don't like *pout*). But I am willing to give it up if I can "FIX" my broken parts. I do have to say that everything I have heard about him has been pretty much on the positive, except for the fact of how busy he is (but that is to be expected, especially since WLS seems to be a new trend for the obese). I also have been sorta scared recently...but to no fault of Dr. Clements because he makes sure you understand that the surgery is not 100% safe (as in ANY MAJOR SURGICAL PROCEDURE)...but needless to say, I know he has lost a patient recently and that sorta scares me (the patient died from a pulmonary embolism). I am not changing my mind about him being my surgeon...I am just praying that I will be part of the other 99% (I know that is selfish...but I am only HUMAN). As things progress with my Patient/Doctor relationship...I will be sure to update here as well."
