Hi All, I have'nt posted much since my surgery on 3/11/02. I have sunk into a deep dark depression since surgery (I take Zoloft and Xanax). In addition to that, I started with nausea and vomiting on Sunday evening. Had an upper-GI series on Monday and it seems my new tummy is emptying VERY slowly and I have terrible reflux. Just the thought of trying to eat something makes me ill. I can't survive this way. I don't want to see anyone. I don't want to talk to anyone. I can barely force myself to get out of bed. Has anyone here ever heard of anyone getting a reversal of the RNY? I really think this was THE BIGGEST mistake of my entire life. Thanks you for your time and responses.

Hi Sandra, I was wondering how you are doing? I am also working towards having the surgery with Dr. Zuccala, but am waiting for insurance approval. I thought since you lived close by, maybe we could chat sometime. I hope all is well. Dawn

Sandra is doing fantastic. When I walked in she was sitting up and does not have any more nausea. She is on Toridol for pain relief and it works better for her. She aced the incentive spirometer, got all three balls up. WAY TO GO SANDRA!!!! Her face and hands looked much less puffy than they did yesterday so I guess shes losing weight already. She is not sure she is happy she had the surgery at this point but said she'll probably feel different when she starts to feel more normal. She feels pretty crummy right now but didn't we all. I assured her that I was crying at day 3 in the hospital. I met her boyfriend and he seems like a real doll and will be a great help to her when she gets home.

I went to see Sandra today and she was having some pain and did not like her morphine so they changed her pain meds to a non narcotic one. I hope it does better for her. She was also having some nausea so she hopes they address that soon. She looked great to me although very groggy but that is to be expected. She had already walked down the hall and back. GO SANDRA!!!! She was laying on her side which I was unable to do for a while. She was sipping water since she had PASSED her leak test. Congratulations Sandra, welcome to the other side!!!!!
