Well my surgery on March 8 went well. I came home Sunday March 11. I'm feeling good as far as my recovery goes. I believe it or not, the recovery from my open rny is much less painful that my lap gall bladder removal. I'm just a little sore at this point. I will get this darn g-tube out tomorrow (Thursday) and I will be most greatful! Not necessarily painful, but it is very annoying. That's all for now! :o)

Janice, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine almost four months ago, and I have never had a single regret. Fortunately, the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.

Janice, Wow ..finally your big day! The same as mine! SOOO happy for you! Good lucka nd Best wishes for a speedy recovery and a wonderful new life on the thin side!!! We will definately have to keep in touch after this thing to check each others progress. Jancie, You are in great hands with Dr. Yates!! It's rough at first but I do promise that it does get much better and you have made a wonderful decision. Get lots of rest, and never be afraid to ask any questions. If you ever want to talk, call me anytime (314) 368-3111. By the way....Dr. Yates saved my life, I had the Surgery 9 months ago and have lost 142 pounds :-)
