"My first impression of Dr Obeid was not the greatest, he seemed very rushed and was kind of in and out of the room before I even knew what hit me. He did have a group meeting where he answered all of the questions I had to ask. When I went down for my surgery he was very friendly (which makes me believe that first visit was a fluke) he came to my room to check on me every day I was in the hospital (4). He did a great job on my surgery, I have had no major problems (a seroma but that wasn't his fault). When you go down for your appointment be ready for a long wait, they seem to over book for what ever reason. For my consultation it was a 1 hour 45 minute wait, and for my first check up after surgery it was a 45 minute wait. I think if Hurley Center for Comprehensive Weight Loss could improve on something this should be at the top of their list. The after care is good, they have a nutritionalist on staff, and they have you going to visit the doctor several times in the first year. I would like to see the "hand book" that they give out with a little more information about what we can eat the first 6 weeks after surgery. Overall I am very happy with Dr Obeid, and I am very happy to have had the surgery thru his offices."
