Hello, I read your post today on the message board. I just want you to know that I am going through the same problem. I had surgery on 1/9/03 and have told only a select group of people (no one from work). I had trouble with someone (not even a friend)at work asking if I had GB surgery? It blew me out of my shoe how nosey and bold that people can be. I also feel it is no one's business. Thank you for posting your message today. It made me feel better to know that someone else is private like myself. Good luck to you!!

Six-month update: It's been a really good healthy journey for me. Weighing in at 262 down -66lbs. I'm very happy with my progress...try not to stress too much about my slow pace. When I stay on track the loss is consistant. I'm faithful with my vitamins, water and proteins...but the CARBS are my downfall. I'm still fighting to break those old habits. My spirit is joyful and I am so proud of myself and the progress I've made so far. I know what it's going to take to meet my goal...and it's all in my grasp! I'm half-way there and I'm putting myself in full gear to finish my task and meet my goal of <-150> in 12-months. I will do it!

9/2/2002- this is my 4-month update (down 54 lbs) and doing fantastic....this is my 1st update but I really must say, I had no, NO surgerical problems. Left the hospital feeling well. My Surgeon Dr. Wongsa was EXcellent surgeon..however he has questionalble bedside manner. Don't want to be too negative because his skills are the best. delete..delete...delete...I won't go there because I would highly recommend him. Especially since I'm so well...and I'm a big girl now and can reject/refuse/and decide for myself...especially now that "I'm feeling better about myself"...and don't have to be so sensitive about "how I got this way?" can focus more on my success and recover. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel although it's probably 6-8 months out...but the weight loss has been slow per my Dr. (3lbs /wk) but very consistant. MUST SAY...I'm very surprised(research/research/research) at my eating limitations...still limited to only 2-3 bites...NO beef yet...soup, salads, home cooked chicken-limited, beans ok. That's my update..blessed and highly favored. Nell
