Three weeks today,(post op open distal RYN) I have lost 28 lbs. My doctor told me I could return to work Aug 26, I teach school. and the principal plans on getting an aide for a few weeks. Today I went to the River Plex and did a couple of swimming work out classes. I thank God so much for healing me so quickly, all praises to Him. I still have 4 more weeks of pureed food and protein shakes. I can't wait to move on to some texture food. To all pre -ops good luck and this a wonderful tool to achieve your weight goals. I do however have head hunger at times, but be patient it will go away. Tupperware mom, wow keep up the good work. Thanks to all of the wonderful people on this site.

Hello. I am home. All is going well. I had the surgery the 31 of July. It was an open distal. The surgery lasted 2 hours. I had a drain in my nose only. I would say the first two days were the hardest. The morphine made me spacey and sick to my stomach. Pain meds was switched to liquid, tasted like nasty oil and nytol mixture. My bllod pressure was higher after the surgery due to not getting a torable pain med. I went home on Sunday. Today is one week of being on the other side, I feel good, a little tired. Still being a little cautious, don't want to toot my horn, to much. I was truly blessed by God;s great graces because He watched over me and He listened to my prayers. All Praises to God.
