Hi everyone..I thought I should give an update. Well, I have now lost 72 pounds..and feel great! I am still having problems with my incision. My sutures did not disolve and my physician has pulled out about 41/2 foot so far. I have one area that is still draining and on antibiotics so hopefully it will soon be over! I will keep my profile updated.

I talked to Shelley the other night and she is not doing well. She is handling her foods well, but on the 23of May her incision become infected. She went to her Surgeon and he told her what was happening is that her body was rejecting her inner stitches and was coming out of her incision. At that time because she did not have a fever, he did not think she had an infection. He sent her home. Two days later she was running a high fever and he then put her on some meds for infection. She still did not get any better, so shelley went to her PCP to see what he thought. She was crying and in alot of pain. He gave her a shot of Antibiotics and gave her a pain patch to wear. These lasted for 72 hours but when they were wearing off she was miserable. She now says that her incision has a redish blackish bulge coming out and they are thinking it may be a blood clot. Please say an extra prayer for her, She has lost 30 pounds since the 5th of May and is well on her way, but is having a set back. Send her well wishes and let her know we are all pulling for her. Thanks, Annette Taylor

This is an update on Shelley Bates. I spent the day with her on Tuesday and needless to say she was pretty much out of it most of the day. It was a 3 hour drive home so I finally left her about midnight. I had gotten her up to do her breathing machine and to make her walk. SHE DONE GREAT. I called to talk to her last night and she sounded like a total different person from the day before. I am hoping that she will get to come home today. Her sister and her dad went up to get her and was looking forward to that. I will stop by her house tonight and check on her.. PLEASE CONTINUE TO FILL UP HER CARD and I will print it off for her ... Thanks and keep the well wishes coming... Annette
