I am now two weeks post-op have lost 24 pounds and am a little scared! I have had no complications, no vomiting, no nausea and it appears that I can eat anything! I can eat a whole hot dog with no problem and I'm afraid that my surgeon has made my pouch too large. Could anyone else out there eat like this and still lose weight??

Hi All!!! Thank you so much for your good wishes and prayers, they seem to have done the trick! I made it through with no complications and today feel almost normal! I am looking foward to my daughter coming home on Thursday. Thank you all so much for your support!

Just spoke with Amy--she is doing great. Said the pain was minimal. Gives everyone good wishes. And is going back to sleep. LOL. YEAH.

Hi Amy, I hope you surgery went well and I wish you a quick recovery. My surgery date isn't until the first week of August. But, I wanted to tell you that I feel the same way you do. The terrible fear of not being there for my 5 year daughter, should something happen to me during surgery. I am trying to focus on all the wonderful things I will be able to do with her after surgery, once the weight comes off. It is just such a awful feeling! My daughter is my life. I got divorced about a year and a half ago. I have still not told my family about it. I know that they will be against it. I am afraid to tell them, but I will have to sooner or later. God Bless you and take good care of yourself.

11 hours until surgery and I am a nervous wreck! Any and all prayers will be much appreciated. My greatest fear is leaving my daughter without her mother. This is also one of the reasons I am having this surgery! I want to be around for a long time. :)
