Yesterday I posted that my angelet was back in the hospital with a stricture in the small bowel and a flap of flesh or something in the pouch blocking her opening into the intestines. I went to visit her today and she had been releases. So good news is she got to spend the holiday with her family. The flap thing seems to be out of the way from the endescope but it can still cause trouble and may take another procedure and more doctor visits to take care of. If anyone else has experienced anything like this with the flap I'm sure Chris would love to here from you.

Angel update! Yesterday I posted that I had visited my angelet the day before and she seemed well. Today she called me and told me she was back in the hospital! Had been there since yesterday. She was unable to keep anything down including liquids. They did an endoscope and found she has a stricture in the small bowel and also there was a flap of flesh blocking the opening from the stomach to the intestines. They hope that they got this taken care of with the endoscope but time will tell if things start going down instead of coming up. Chris I hope you are up and about and feeling good and able to keep stuff down real soon.

I went to visit my angelet Christine Allen yesterday and she looks marvelous. She has lost 30 pounds in 19 days. Whoo hoo for her. That is so awesome isn't it. She is no longer on her Oxygen either. Despite some complications she is doing so great and is such an inspiration. For anyone who is preop and doesn't know anyone who's had the surgery yet I urge you to volunteer to be the angel of someone in your area. It was such a treat to get to see someone going through the process and it really relieved some of my fears as a Preop. So if you have a minute free stop by and congratulate Chris.

Christine, I am so glad you are home. I pray that the few complications your are having will end very soon. I ask God to wrap his loving arms around you and touch you with his healing hands. God bless you and your family always. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Yee Haaww...my angelet is home now. Christine Allen came home last night after a one week stay in the hospital. She is doing pretty good but did have to come home with oxygen. Despite the complications she has had (her liver was cut into during surgery and her oxygen level is not high enough)she is glad that she had this surgery and I'm happy for her. She has been so wonderful to share her experience with me. I have to add to that I noticed Chris's husband was very supportive and there for her during this time. It would be wonderful if we could all have such a great supporter in our spouses.
