"I heard staff making racial slurs a tech an a housekeeper talking about someone referrring to them as "honkies" twice. I stuck my face outside my curtain to let them know i heard. I heard Alot of rude comments in general with no regard as to what they said or who might be within ear shot.My nurse an RN didnt know how to give meds thru a g tube- it was taped down from OR facing down towards my thigh she injected med than attached drainage bag an the pain med ran right "down the drain" so i lost that dose an had to wait another 4 hrs- than i showed her how to untape gtube hold it up an allow med to drain in.when i went for leak test the RN disconnected my iv an when i got back she couldt restart it while telling me i needed it for my antibiotic an tardol when she realized it couldnt be saved her comment was "just forget about it" i asked her to please re stick me that i wanted my antibiotic meanwhile this was 9am I wasnt d/c from hosp until 6p so plenty of time to recieve this a/b.I live an hr a 1/2 from hosp want to do everything right an avoid any infections. the dr came in an to my disapointment said ok forget about iv- i later heard this charge nurse tell my nurse about Dr Jawad " he almost gave it to her "and than my nurse saying to her real expressive "oh thanks" since she was saved form the "trouble" of having to restart my iv. there where about three dedicated people the rest where just mediocre & indifferent.I never got my "food" i had to ask for it at 230 and i was going home at 6p and yet we are supposed to get something every 2 hrs. My hub stayed with me 24 hrs i feel sorry for anybody who has no one there to help them or look out for them."

"I initially selected Dr Jawad because i was adamant about getting a lap. All i can say is i feel so much better after meeting him. when your a nurse I think you tend to look at doctors in a different way. I was very happy with him. He was very at ease and it gave me a "nervous nelly "a calming affect. "
