Hi Linda. Thank you for sending me this link and for sharing your experience with me. Linda and I work together and we are embarking on the same journey. My initial consultation with Dr. Jawad is on December 5, 2002. Linda I hope I find an "angel" like you did. It is so important to have a good support system. Your husband has been there for you all the way. He even had some encouraging words for me the other day when I called you. Here's hoping all goes well in your recovery and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Gail

Not the "official angel" here, but thought I'd add my update! I spoke w/ Linda today (Wednesday) @ about 2pm. She sounded wonderful & upbeat! She said they were already sending her home @ 6pm....wow! Only 1 night, I cant get over it. She said she wasn't able to eat the "sweet stuff" they were giving her, ie: jello, etc. But hopefully she's home now & resting. Congrats on making it to the "other side", Linda! I know you've been waiting & waiting for this to finally happen. Please make sure to keep us posted on your progress!!! All the best... ANGEL REPORTING******* talked to linda a few times today and she sounded great!! she was sitting up and walkin the halls. the leak test went fine and she was waiting for her "food". the dr. said that if she was able to keep fluid's down she will be able to go home tonight!! that is one evening in the hospital, isnt that incredible???!!! i am so happy and excited for her. linda, my sweet dear friend, i cant wait until we can go shopping!! lets leave the guys home and hit the mall!! = ) hugs to ya, gale ******** get this, last night as she was feeling very bad, and dozing on and off from the meds, she remembered an anniversary card that she brought for me and my husband.....now how sweet is that??? = )

i just got back from visting linda in the hospital. she is doing very well, when i walked in she was out of bed and had been sitting up for about an hour. she had some nausea from the meds,and a back ache from the bed but other than that she seemed great. her husband joe told me that dr. jawad said the surgery was a complete success and even with scar tissue from her previous gallbladder surgery, there were no problems. i will call her in the morning and check on her.......gale = )
