Deborah, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. May peace and love surround you on your journey and carry you along safely. Remember to drink your water, take your vitamins, walk daily and most importantly, be gentle with yourself along the way. Lastly, don't forget to stop by occasionally and update your profile. Deborah, I hope you get another date soon. You did pick an excellent surgeon. He did mine on August 20, 2001. I wish you luck and hope to see an update soon. Peggy

My surgery was scheduled for tomorrow in Augusta, but I had to call and tell them that I couldn't do it untill the first week in June. I am a teacher and wanted to wait till vacation. I called today to get my new date with Dr. Engler and was told that they can't schedule any appointments with him because he is working out some insurance problems with the insurance company and the hospital, St. Joseph's. Dr. Engler is probably 75-80 years old, but is in fine shape when I went for my initial interview. I did not feel any doubt b/c of his age. Apparently the company that insures him for malpractice does. Anyway, I told them I wouldn't have a problem having one of the other surgeons in the office do the procedure and Dr. Engler is supposed to call me personally to let me know what is happening. I was fine with all this until I hung up the phone. I was hit with such a deep depression!!! I didn't know I would be so disappointed! I've had luck with the whole process so far, and i know I shouldn't complain. I was just surprised at my reaction. I just want to be a LOSER!!!!!! I can't wait for the day of my surgery. I'll post a new surgery date when I get it! Thanks!
