Well I am divorced. I have been heavy most my life. Then I started getting serious health problems. So I knew I had to do something about my weight. I went to three seminars before I decided to do the surgery. After the third one I knew what I needed to do. So I filled out my paperwork and did all the requirements necessary.
I chose my physician, by the way is amazing. His team has lead me through some real rough patches. So the credit goes to Dr Christopher Edwards in Springfield, MO.
To be honest, I have questioned if I had chosen the right thing for me. I have had major nausea, pain and heartburn since my surgery. So I had my surgery on April 19th, 2017 and questioned my decision. I was so ready to have the surgery. Wasn't scared or nervous at all. Spent two nights in the hospital.
I just thought no biggie it is a Laproscopic surgery. Then my surgeon came in and told me just because it was Laproscopic doesn't mean a thing. He said you just went through a major surgery. It's still hard for me to wrap my mind around what I did.
Then my journey really begins. I've still had rough times with the nausea, acid and pain on a daily basis. I will be telling the story of my journey that is ahead. I'm looking forward to some good changes. Thanks for reading. I know it is a long process that we have to get used to. I believe God will be by my side throughout this journey.
