8 WEEKS POST OP TODAY!!!!

May 01, 2013

So today is 8 weeks post op.  I am down 31.4lbs and a little over 16 inches!!!!

Things are still going well - luckily I am able to tolerate every food I have tried (while following my plan)

I get my liquid intake in most days - some days way over some days a little under

I'm doing well with vitamins but I do forget sometimes - I've created timers on my cell phone to remind me

I went back to the gym yesterday and it felt great!!!  I actually want to be there - lol I haven't felt that way in years!!!!

My clothes are getting too big, my "smaller" size work scrubs are even too big now - looks like I'm going to have to give in and buy a few smaller ones - I just don't want to spend too much money since I'm still loosing.

I saved a bunch of old clothes that were way too small and they actually fit now - this is so exciting!!!!

5 weeks post op

Apr 12, 2013

Yesterday was 5 weeks post op :)

I am doing great, but I think surgery is finally catching up with me.  I am absolutely exhausted by 7:30 at night - and have to go to bed early.   I haven't had any issues with food or liquids yet, I still don't get the full feeling so I weigh out all my food when I prepare my meals to make sure I don't over eat.  I am planning to start working out at the gym this weekend - I'm actually really excited about it and hope it will boost my energy level up a little.  If not - then early bed it will be :)

My clothes definitely fit differently, and I have been able to move to smaller clothes that I had put away in my closet.

I'm down 22lbs and 8.75 inches -

2 weeks post op

Mar 20, 2013

Tomorrow will be exactly 2 weeks from my surgery date and I feel amazing!!!  I can't believe how well this whole process has been.   If it weren't for me knowing that I can't eat like I use to you would never know I had surgery.  I feel exactly as I did before - so weird

I am able to tolerate the full liquid diet without any difficulty at all.  I am getting in my protein and fluids daily without issues.  At my 1 week appointment at the surgeons office I was told that I could have vegetable soup but would have to puree it and I could have a small amount of a soft mashed banana.  The soup was a great treat - made it just a little thicker - I decided to wait on the banana.

I am very happy that I had the surgery but can't help but ask myself why it has been so easy - I know I shouldn't complain - I'm grateful for feeling good - I just can't help but wonder

Can't wait to have some yummy soft/puree tomorrow!!!

Home and doing Great!!

Mar 11, 2013

Surgery went well and I am home and doing great. I had a lot of soreness and gas but today is day 4 post op and I feel so much better. I haven't even had to use any pain meds today. I'm doing well with fluids and am so happy that I had this surgery. I stepped on the scale today and lost all of the gas/fluid weight that I gained. So looking forward to this new journey!

Hello :)

Mar 05, 2013

Hello All!!!

I am a 32 year old female and my surgery is scheduled for  tomorrow!!!  I am looking forward as this will be the start of a new life for me.

I was very thin and in shape until I had children and for the past 10 years have not been able to loose the weight no matter how many diets/exercise programs/weight loss drugs I tried.

I have not told many people about my surgery other than close family and my 3 best friends - I come from a family that judges people and I don't feel the need to be judged.

I am so excited to embark on this new journey and am looking forward to meeting some great people on OH along the way!!!  I am so excited/nervous/happy/scared - all these emotions are running through my mind today!!!

Please feel free to add me as a friend - I would love to give as well as receive support/advice :)
