I begin my journey again...I say again, because my original journey began in July of 2005. But those who have had insurance problems know what I'm talking about. In March 2006 I began seeing a nutritionist counselor, (Mandy, you are awesome)so I could conform to the insurance rules. I am currently in my 11th month of that and have started the process for WLS over again. I have met with the Bariatric Coodinator, Mary Harrington (WLS Patient), she too is amazing...
I am so glad I can have my surgery 20 miles from home and not 100 miles...it will be much better for my "groupies" to support me in this journey.
I met with my surgeon, Dr. Kurt Sprunger, on December 21, 2006. (See my tesimonial about him on the left.) After 90 minutes he shook my hand and said, "we are going to get you this surgery"...."THANK HEAVENS!" This ball is rolling pretty good right now...within two weeks I've had three appointments...yesterday I had my phyc eval with Dr. Broderick...it was so different than the one I have in August 2005. Three tests and an interview...but it went very well...and I'm not crazy :). I have a great feeling about my new journey and that God is going to see me through the journey. He must be first and foremost in our lives. My goal for a surgery date is Spring Break 07'. It may come before that, but that is the the week I am praying for. I have a wonderful support group of family, friends and co-workers and know that they are going to be very instrumental in my success. Look out 2008, 2007 is going to be just a springboard to my future....I give God all the glory for what is happening in my life right now...until next time my WLS buddies....
