"I was just sitting here thinking about Dr. Meyrowitz. And I see that he has passed away. He did my stomach stapling in 1993 and in 2000s. Dr. Meyrowitz, was an excellent doctor I loved his accent. When I was in the hospital and wanted to take a shower a few days after my surgery the nurses would not even a system, they said we will have to wait until we talk to Dr. Meyrowitz. She said no one does anything with Dr. Meyer with his patients until he okays it. “We will all be in trouble.” He was always straightforward with his patients, nurses and other doctors. I remember being on the operating table and the table was not functioning right, he wanted to table to stand straight up, I was slightly sedated and he had me to get off the table and switch to another table. I just admire him so much and I’m so sad that he has gone on to the streets of gold. I will never forget him, he had given me my life back. Rest in peace Dr. Basil Meyrowitz."
