It's been a while since I've logged on.  I had my surgery a year ago this month, so far I've only lost 20 pounds.  I am so discouraged now.    Please offer any suggestions that have worked for you.

I had the surgery 3/17, since I've had 2 fills.  So far I have only lost about 20, I think I could have done 20 pounds without surgery in almost 6 months.  I have absolutely no restrictions.  I still eat what I want, when I want.  I crave sugar, sweets now more than ever.  Anybody else having this issue with the banding?

I want to lose at least 15 pounds by Christmas, any suggestions?

As of today, I am down 14 pounds, how great.  Will receive the first fill in 4 weeks.  I can't wait.  I was told yesterday during the follow up that I have the Realize Band and not Lap-Band.  Anybody else with the Realize Band.  Also, I was told to start exercising, will begin that tomorrow morning.  

The band is really a tool, I didn't beleive them when they, the medical staff, said it was.  I thought that it will stop hunger, as people with Gastric Bypass say, they aren't hungry. I have 3 people that have had GB and they all say they do not feeling hungry.  Even after surgery I still crave surgery and carbs. I really need to learn how to eat and how to prepare food the correct way.

Had my surgery on Monday 3/17, came home Tuesday.  Not in any real pain, haven't even had any pain medication since during the actual procedure.  I am a little sore.  The staff at GW Hospital was not the nicest or most accomdating. But the night nurse (Nida) and tech (Trenita) were great.  I am tolerating liquids fine, just can't drink too fast.  I am moving around find, just a little sore so I move slower than usual.  

I absolutely hated all of the medical students coming in my room.  I am a private person, so I wish that Dr. Brody would have said something before they all bombarded the room.  Already down about 7 pounds.  80+ to go. I need to upload some before and after picture.  I guess since I am off work for 3 weeks and I am already bored to death, I can do that, LOL.

I got my surgery date, its 3/17.  I start 2 weeks of liquid diets on Monday 3/3.  I am nervous about being able to stick with the diet.  I've done everything required, just waiting for the date.  Now I am getting cold feet.  I am still not please with Dr. Brody's staff including the Nutrionist. 

Do you have a surgeon that you love, not like but love.  Please tell me why you love your surgeon.  Also, if there is a surgeon that you hated, please let me know that too.  I have BCBS Fed and they cover lap band.  Please respond.
