Hi! I'm Jenny 

I live in Oregon with my hubby Richard. We've got three adult children - Richard's son Nick (28) and my kids Holly (24) and Tristan (21).

I decided to have RNY surgery because my blood sugar went crazy about a year ago and nothing I did was able to get it under control. The final straw was when my fasting blood sugar hit a consistent 450 and no combination of diet, exercise, or medication was helping - at least with what my insurance would cover.

My biggest reason to have the surgery is to address my diabetic issues and the health risks associated with that. Having said that though, I'm not mad about being hot and 50+ instead of obese and 50+! Ha!!!
