Just Beginning

Well I have been lurking for a couple of months and decided to come out of the shadows. My cardiologist wants me to have gastric bypass surgery. I have thought and thought about it and have decided that's what I want too. I have been overweight my entire life. I was probably considered overweight when I came into the world. I have always been on the sidelines and it has affected my life dramatically at times. I have been blessed w/a wonderful husband who is behind me every step of they way. Whether I have the surgery or not. Dr. Mitchell in Pinehurst, NC has been recommended and I need to attend his seminar first to get the ball rolling so to speak. I hope to do that in early February 2009. I was suppose to go tonight but things did not work out. I live in Dunn, NC but I have not heard too many good things about the doctors around here so if anyone has any suggestions I am all ears.
