Hurry up and wait......So I called today about my referral and everything looks good. They told me to just wait until I get a letter in the mail stating who my surgeon will be and the contact info so I can set up an appointment! Yipeee!!!! I'm on my way!

Today I got a phone call from my PCP telling me that she put in my referral!!!! I asked her about the insurance and she told me that I would [most likely] NOT get denied! Gotta love the military! Anyway, I have to go and get my "fasting stats" done in the next few days.... bloodwork, urine, etc. Then I sit back and wait for a phone call! I'm so excited! Thanks for listening!!! ~L

Well, I am so glad I found this site! I am now entering my journey for WLS! I have already learned a lot from the people here and I like that I can come here and everyone feels the same way I do! It's hard to talk to friends and family b/c they are not in the same situation I am in. I have mentioned it in conversation before and they just don't get it!!! They think it's going to be a breeze but in actuality, it's a complete LIFE CHANGE! Then on the other hand, I have some people who think it's ridiculous that I would even consider getting this done. So, I just need to be surrounded by people who understand. So, thanks for listening!
