Hello, I have been morbidly obese for the last two years. I once  tipped the scales at 326. I  went on a liquid weight loss program. I lost about 70lbs and began to get sick. The doctors did not know what were the causes of my symptoms. I underwent various medical tests. This past June  of 09,  I was diagnosed with celiac disease. I'm allergic to wheat/gluten go figure. That's why I had to stop the liquid diet becuase it was full of both wheat and gluten. So, here I am, still obese and  desperately needing a new way of life. I currently suffer from diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, and high cholesterol. I take 9 pills a day and I'm just 42. I have to change or I will not be here for my 3 children ages 9,11, and 12 or my husband.  It is very important for me to take my life back so I can enjoy some of  the things that I used to do.

With all that being said, I had the VGB done on the 29th of December in 2009. My presurgery weight was 302. Seven days post-op and I'm feeling great. Praise be to God that I have not suffered  much pain or had any negative symptoms thus far.

I welcome any friends that would like to keep in touch as I take this journey down the weight loss road.  May God Bless everyone with good health, joy, peace, and prosperity in 2010!
