Beef Mac Recipe
Feb 17, 2007
I came up with this recipe on my own...
I was looking for something for dinner that was easy to eat & stayed in my pouch.
1 lb. Lean Ground Hamburger or Ground Turkey
1 medium Green Pepper-sliced & diced
1 medium Vidalia Onion - sliced & diced
Add any other veggy's that your able to tolerate.
1 small can tomato paste
1 large can tomato sauce (any large can of tomato will be fine)
Adobe Seasoning - to taste
Garlic Powder or Fresh Garlic to taste
Salt & Pepper to Taste
Ditalini Pasta - 1/4 box (wheat pasta if you like it!)
Cook Ground Meat is sauce pan till brown. Drain any excess fat...shouldnt be too much since its lean!
Add diced green pepper & onion & cook up on medium heat for about 10 minutes.
Add tomato paste & tomato sauce. Add seasonings to your preferable taste.
Cook about 20 minutes more on medium heat.
Add Diatlini Pasta or other small pasta...even a wheat pasta!
Cook about 1 hour on low heat, not too high so it doesnt burn. Stir occasionally until pasta & veggys are cooked.
Serve with reduced fat grated parmesan cheese sprinkled.
YUMMY!
