I have completed my first consultation with Dr. Lord and I have began my 6 months of going to my PCP for him to monitor my weight, I also have started going to the Support Meetings which are very helpful. I met a very sweet lady named Patti that had WLS in June also by Dr. Lord and she is a real inspiration. I will write more when I know more.

I have a surgery date of July19,2006, I am very excited to be able to have this surgery, I will write more later.

Well I just started my 5 day clear liquid yesterday and it has been tough but I know that I have to do it, because I am ready to get on the other side and become a loser :-) I will be getting to the hospital at 9 am and my surgery will be at 11 am. I will write more later.

Tomorrow I will be on the losing side and I cant wait. I have been on this clear liquid since Friday and today has been the worse, I had to take some antibiotics today and they made my stomach upest along with being hungry, that wasnt a good combination. I have to admit that I am nervous, but I am so excited as well, I have the best surgeon in Florida or maybe I should say the world doing my surgery, I have alot of faith in Dr. Lord and his crew. Well, I have one more round of antibiotics to take tonight and then I am going to hit the sack and get ready for tomorrow, I will write more when I am post op!

Well here it is 10 days from my surgery, I am feeling good, eating my stage 3 diet and trying to get in all my liquid and protein. At my appt on July 27th, I had lost 19 and 1/2 pounds. Feels good to know that they are gone! I am going back to work on Monday and try to just work 1/2 days until I get some energy back. Anyone who is thinking about having this surgery and you are in NW Florida, please check into Dr. Lords seminar, you will be glad you did. The staff on the baratric floor are great, some of them have had the surgery so they know what you are feeling. I will post more later after my next check up!
