I am 25, with no kids and a good job. You would think I had it going on. Well there is one problem. I AM FAT. I don't do anything but lay in the bed all day,watch TV, and eat. I am so excited about having weigth loss surgery, so I can find a hobby besides staying away from people because I think they are looking at how tall and fat I am. I went to the seminar on 11/10/05 and had all my insurance information ready by 11/15/05. I am now just waiting on the approval.

I am very unhappy because the insurance department from the hospital is telling me that my insurance company only pay for the hospital and not for the doctor. So they are telling me I have to pay 5500.00 before I can have the surgery.

My insurance company gave me names of two more doctors that will perform the surgery without be having to pay then get reimburse. So today I am going to visit Dr. Barker. I am so exicted I have already faxed him a copy of my medical records from all the other appointments I have had. I hope he look at all the faxes and say ok let's get this over to the insurance company right away so we can get approved and set a date. Well I must go to see him now. I'll keep you guys updated.

I went to see Dr. Barker yesterday and I feel more confident. My appointment was at 8:30 and he didn't arrive to work until 9:30. I actually wasn't even mad because the waiting room was packed which usally make me very uncomfortable. Then this man came in and sat next to me and said what procedure are you going to get. About 30 mins later it was amazing EVERYONE OF THE PATIENT STARTED TALKING. The doctor office had turned into a support group of over 25 over wieght people talking about why the want the surgery or how many pounds they have lost. It was then my turn to go see the doctor. The nurse looked at me and said my goodness you are 5'9 I though you were lying. She looked in my chart and said you are really ready. I step on the scale and it read 287. The nurse then took a before picture of me and said my you are pretty. I laughed and said you haven't seen the bikini shot. She said sorry I don't take bikini pictures. Then the doctor came in and said you have everything together already. He said I can tell you right now you will be approved so you need to just go get clearance from a cardiologist then we can schedule you. I could not believe it. I call the cardiologist the nurse recommended and have an appointment for 12/14/05. I'll keep you posted.

I went to see Dr. Mease, the cardiologist, yesterday and he says I am cleared. He told me I was using 65 percent of my heart and a normal person uses 40-65 percent. So I guess that makes me as normal as it gets. Dr. Gares at Dr. Baker office said he sent my packet to the insurance company yesterday also. So I guess now I just wait to see what happens. I hope I can get in for this year but if not I'll just have to pay a $500.00 deductible next year and I think it will be worth it. For now I'll just cross my fingers.

I just got off the phone with Blue Cross Blue Sheild and they said they got my information from the doctor yesterday and it is currently under review. Looks like everything is starting to move right along. YYYEEEAAAHHH

I have called the insurance company every day since 12/20/05 to check if I have been approved. I called twice today and Shannon who I mostly speak to answer and told me to hold so she can check and see when they would have an answer for me. I guess she is tried of me calling every day, but whatever. She said they should have my answer by 1/05/06.

Finally the wait is over. I am approved! I called the insurance company this morning and Amy said YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED. I asked her to fax me something she said she can only mail it. She then told me to have my doctor call and give ref# 0055911903 and they will tell him that I am approved from 01/03/06- 01/03/07. So I called my doctor and told them. I know have to go in on 01/10/06 to have my final visit before the surgery. She said I should be in by next week to have the surgey.

My doctor called be back and asked me if I can have the surgery on 01/09/06. Wow,that is fast. I don't have time to throw a party and ask everyone to bring me food.

Today I went to the hospital that I will be having the surgery at to pre register. They took my blood and did a ekg. Everything came out perfect according to the nurse Sheila. When she weighted me the scale said 283 which shocked me. Hey, I have losed 5 pounds already! I told the lady, Susan in the registration office that I have been reading articles about how hospital billing clerk alway over charge patients. I told her I don't want to be charged for nothing but the room. I said I will bring my own tissue, soap, bath cloth, tooth brush, tooth paste, even medicine. After that me and my friend Ji went to Walmart and bought a scale, measuring tape, and multi vitamin strips.

OK, I have 2 more days so let's start with the measuring. My tights 34, my calves 18 1/2, my arms 17, my neck 16, my stomach 51 1/2, my butt 52 1/2, my breast 51, and my at home scale reads 282.8.

Tomorrow is the big day and it is starting out good already. The hospital called and told me that my surgery has been moved up to 11:00 because someone else cancelled.

Finally it is my turn. Today I awake to find that I am loved. 4Eva has posted a message telling everyone to pray for me. Well I am running late as usally. I am now signing off at 8:30 getting ready to go under the knife.

Surgery was a success. I am now home. I have some chest pains when I breath and of course my stomach is still sore. I have not had any food for 2 days and have only drink half a pint of water. I am so hungry. It will past now because I am on the losing side.

CONFESSION! The doctor said drink clear liquids for a week well today is days six and I had to have something so I cheated and had a homemade smoothy this morning with can fruit I found at Walmart that had splenda in it and some juice I seen with less than 5 grams of sugar and I also added some fresh strawberrys. I was scared but hungry! After I waited to see what it would do to me I then I cook me some cheese and chives egg beaters.I then thought I need to get up and go somewhere before I hurt myself. Why did I drive around and ended up in a Popeyes drive thru. I only got some mashed potatoes with out gray and I mean it was good.

Well I lost 16 lbs as of yesterday. Somone need to come get my scale because I am on it twice a day.

Today I went to the doctor and he removed my staples and I weighted in at 268. I have lost 20 lbs in 1 week and I can't believe it.

Well, I guess it is time to report again. I am at an amazing 247 lbs and everyone says I look good. I can't believe I have lost 41 lbs in 2 months. I just started doing a little exercising. I walk to work everyday which is just down the street. It takes about 10 minutes.

I am now wieghing in at 233. I am getting fine as ever and can eat kids meals when I go out. I love Arby's jr. roast beef sandwich. I can only eat the middle and no bread on a sanwich or I would not be able to eat the entire sandwich.

Today I measured again, here it goes: 14 1/2 arms, 14 1/2 neck, 44 breast, 43 1/2 stomach, 27 3/4 tight, 17 calves, and 47 1/4 butt. The scale is now reading 228.2.

Today I ran a 10 miles marathon for March of Dimes. YEAH!!!!!!!!

I am down to 195 and wear a size 12. I also just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant with my first child. If I had to make this decision again I would still have this surgery. This is one of the best thing to every happen to me. I didn't think I would ever get pregnant nor wieght in under 200 lbs. I am so excited.

I am finally in the century club weighting in at 189. I am now 10 weeks pregnant.
