Andrew Averbach
"I was very impressed with Dr. Averbach at my consultation appointment. He was very professional and explained everything thoroughly. He was not "rushed" and was open to any questions I had. His staff have been wonderful as well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Averbach and staff to everyone. St. Agnes has a great support group that meets twice a month that seems to be very active. Having a group like they have is very important to me. I started off with Dr. Barry Greene. He is very confident with a very good reputation, and has a lot of patients seeking his skills. For my consultation appointment I felt like I was part of an assembly line of patients and was rushed through the whole process including the exam with Dr. Greene. I did all the preop required tests and consultations and it took forever for the office staff to submit my paperwork. When they finally did, Tricare only approved the surgery to be done OPEN and had just changed their rules (one week prior) to not allow LAP RNY. Dr. Greene refused to do the procedure OPEN and I had to start all over with my PCP to get a referral to another surgeon that was willing to do my surgery OPEN or LAP. Dr. Greene's insurance coordinator was also not very nice and did not like me calling for updates. "
