"Dr. Vaughn is a very kind, caring doctor...during my first consult with him he made my husband and I feel very comfortable...he went into detail about the surgery...the risks...the benefits...and exactly how he proforms the surgery...of course I was nervous and I'm sure my husband was to a certain degree but Dr. Vaughn talked to us like we had known him for years...we chatted about other things besides the surgery making the whole experience very pleasing...not only was he very informative...straight forward and open...he was very caring in making sure we understood everything he just told us...he was very clear about the importance of aftercare and how this surgery isnt just like a production line to make money and then on to the next...he REALLY cares about his patients and wants the best care for them and wants to make sure he gives each and everyone one of them 100%...I'll say this also...a short time ago I was confusing myself about the different procedures I was reading about on the boards and I posted something about it and he read it and CALLED ME PERSONALLY!!!...now how many doctors would take the time to call one of their patients to make sure she is ok and is getting all the right information about anything let alone WLS?...he is a wonderful man and a caring doctor and I am sooooo happy I found him...I have FULL confidence in him and I'm looking forward to having him do my surgery!
The only negative thing I would have to say about my consult experience was with the girl that came in to talk to us after Dr. Vaughn was done...both my husband and I felt like she was cold and seemed to be rushed...she just wanted to tell her story and get out of there...but who knows she may have just been having a bad day! ;-)"
