Wynette, Congratulations on your surgery! I am glad it went well and I wish you good luck and good health with your recovery. The first 2 weeks are the toughest but it gets a little better each day. So hang in there! It is so worth it! A WLS friend,

Last night we visited Wynette. In my eyes she looks like shes doing fine. When we got there, she said she was in pain (I can only imagine what this pain feels like until I have it done to me). We asked if she wanted to walk which she did. She was able to get out of bed by herself and walk the halls 1 1/2 times. If all goes well, she should be out by Monday. I'll keep you posted!

Well, unfortunately Wynette didn't have her surgery on August 10, 2001. Dr. Balfour had a surgery himself (nothing major) so it was cancelled. She is finally getting it done today August 31, 2001. She is probably half way done with surgery (8:30 am right now). I'll keep everyone posted!!!! -Ruby

I will be having surgery on the same day as you in Utah. It sounds like you have really been through it to get your family to Hawaii for your surgery. I hope every thing goes well for you!! May God bless you. Regina Millett
