I was always "healthy" growing up but not obese, probably because I was always active in sports or theater growing up. I gained weight after college and was usually around 150-155 or so but when my father passed away in March of 99, I kind of gave up on life....I just knew I was going to die so I decided that I would eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted it. This began a spiral of sorts. I went from 170 to about 195 in 4-5 months and it just continued on from there. Once I had gotten the weight on, I found it so hard to lose it...I tried just about everything from Jenny Craig to Nutrisystem and from Xenocal (AKA the nastiest stuff EVER) to other diet pills.
I have been researching weight loss surgery since about 2004. I am now in a place where I have a job with insurance that will help me to pay fo it, so here I am!
I absolutely love the people in Dr. Pehrsson's office and am so happy to have found them!
I look forward to living the next half of my life healthier than the last!
