Angel update....Alexis is home doing fine. She has her first follow up appointment with Dr. Appel this morning. She will be getting one of her tubes removed and it will be the first time that bandaging is removed also. Please continue to provide support to Alexis - she is a wonderful person and I am sooooooo proud of her!

Alexis is home and resting. I will be checking on her regularly and posting updates until which time she feels up to posting herself. There are a lot of you that have wished her well and that is very much appreciated. Please continue to offer encouragement and support - it means so much!!! She has done remarkably well and can't wait for her to be a cheerleader in my corner!

Angel update....sorry I haven't posted here in a couple of days but have had connectivity problems with my computer! Just wanted to let everyone know that Alexis is doing great and will be going home from the hospital today. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She's been so brave and has come through this with flying colors. I am so proud of her!!!!

Angel update...Alexis has gotten up three times today! Woo hooo! She developed a migraine this afternoon but seems to be recovering from that just fine. She is able to keep her liquids down (when she remembers to take them! ha!). Her mother remains at the hospital by her side. Since my surgery is coming up soon I have been asking Alexis all kinds of questions and she has been kind enough to answer all of them. Makes me glad she got to go first! Thanks to all of you for your continued prayers!

Pain is barbaric in this day and age of super pharmaceutical cocktails. Poor Alexis! They need to get you on a serious combo as of YESTERDAY. I hope that relief comes soon and is readily replaced with joy and success with your wls.
