I was released from the hospital after 2 days.  I had no pain and my incisions were healing nicely.  I had a wonderful experience at Memorial of Modesto and was sad to leave, but it was time to start my new life.  I am on a liquid diet for 7 days and my post-op appointment is December 21, 2007.

The day that my life changed forever...  My surgery was scheduled for 8:30am, I arrived at Memorial Hospital of Modesto at 6:15am, after a sleepless night, due to the excitement.  I checked in for my surgery and almost immediately I was taking to the prep room, so that I could be prep'd for surgery.  I went through the normal routine; IV, vitals, weighed and was asked to relax a bit before my surgery.  Even though I was taken in 2 hours before my surgery, the time went by very quickly.  At 8:25am, I was wheeled to the operating room at about 8:40am I was given some medication to help me relax and i was asked to move over to the operating table... that is all I remember until I woke up.  I remember being wheeled down the hall, to recovery, where I was greeted by a very friendly nurse who made sure that I was very comfortable.  After about an hour and a half I was taking to my room, where my husband was already waiting for me.  I felt no pain at all.  The nurse assigned to me was very nice and very caring, I felt taken care of.
