Hi all. I talked to Shelly and she is off the IV pain meds so she isn't so groggy. She woke up at midnight with dry heaves and wanted off the drugs. She was having a tough time though tonite as she couldn't get the carnation down and has to do that for 3 weeks. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know or she will be getting out tomorrow so you could let her know. Thanks alot!

Hi again. I went to see Shelly today. She looks puffy from the I.V. and still groggy but we took a walk around the hall and she is drinking alot of water. She had the leak test done and all was fine. Tonight she had her first protein drink and they said only 1 oz per hour. She said she won't be done with lunch or supper until like 3 a.m. LOL. Tomorrow the catheter should come out and more walking.

Hi, this is Joanna and I thought I would let everyone know that Shelly is doing fine after surgery. She was very groggy but said she has been up once to walk and was a little sore. Initially they had a hard time getting the pain under control, but all is well now. The dr. said she will be getting the leak test done tomorrow or Wednesday. She is so excited to be on the other side and will be looking for words of encouragement and any special tricks you may have for her. Keep praying for her, she should be out Thursday or Friday.

Hi! My name is Joanna and I will be posting for Shelly while she is in the hospital. I am so excited for her as we have been in this together. I can't believe that for the first time it will be a positive thing to be called a loser. See you on the other side Shell and can't wait for my date.

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.

Our real blessings often appear to us in the shapes of pains, losses and disappointments; but let us have patience, and we soon shall see them in their proper figures.
