Michelle is going home today! Dr. Frantzides said she is healing very well and gave the all-clear for her to return home. I don't know how soon we will be seeing her in the main chat room, but I'm sure she would love to hear from everybody via e-mail.

I spoke with Michelle this morning. Her surgery wound up lasting a little longer than planned -- about 5 hours. She'd had a band inserted several years ago, and apparently it wasn't done very well. It was interfering with her liver, and Dr. Frantzides also had to remove about 3" of her stomach. She's glad she chose such a skilled surgeon. She said she's a little surprised at how much pain she's in, but the morphine is helping. She's been up and walking already, and is looking forward to feeling better soon. I don't know when she will be going home, but I will post it here when I find out.

I just heard that Michelle went into the recovery room at around 1:00pm and is doing fine. I couldn't get any other details, but I will post back as soon as I hear more.

Congratulations on making a hard decision to change the rest of your life for the better. It is a big step and you will face alot of challenges but know you are not alone there is always someone here at Obesity help to help you along the journey. There are others who have been there and done that no matter what comes up post op. My prayers are with you Ramona
