To all who love and know this fantastic woman. Lisa has had her surgery and it's been a very rough week. She had a perfect RNY with no surgical complications, it was laproscopic, as she hoped, with scar tissue removed as most of us have had. However, on Monday she thought she was getting a cold. She had breathing trouble and ended up in ICU with congestive heart failure and a touch of pneumonia....all from her reaction to the Anesthesia. She is my dearest friend so I thought today would be a good day to report that she is off the ventilator, sedation and other mechanics that have kept her breathing and with us. God has smiled once again on this dear spirit and let us keep her here one more time. Today she is breathing on her own. She will remain in ICU 2 more days then a regular hospital room for 2 more then home we hope! Her tenacity, strenght of will and never surrender attitude saw her through, along with a team of blessed ICU doctors, nurses and loved ones. She still has a long haul ahead of her so keep her in your prayers......I told her some people will do anything to avoid chicken broth & got a grin out of her. So please keep our sister in WLS in your thoughts. P.S. Needless to say she will have no more elective surgeries.
