Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)… RNY 10/31/03 – down 87 pounds!!! Good luck!

I just spoke with Jennifer and she is sounding great! She was given her first meal this morning, which consisted of some water, crytal lite, and broth, all is going down well, no dumping or leaking. She has taken a few walks down the hall, and has been going to the bathroom on her own, since surgery so she is getting in her walking. Her i.v. was being removed while we were talking, that will be a big relief for her. I told her about everyones well wishes, and she was just smiling (I could feel it :0)). She was wishing she had computer access so she could get on, and say Hi. Jen is scheduled to be released tommorow, and then she will be back and posting all this wonderful news herself! Hugs. I have been posting on the message boards for the past two days about Jennifers progress, and I didnt know about this area, so here goes! Jennifer cam through surgery in approximately an hour and a half. She has five incisions. She said she is feeling pain in her left side where most people get it. She has been up and walking around, and got to use the bathroom too. I will update some more when I talk with her this morning. I want to thank everyone who came to her surgery page, and expressed their support for her. Jennifer is a great woman, and she appreciates all of your kind words, and prayers. Take Care.
