~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**

Jennifer, don't worry...you are just hitting yor 1st plateau. If you are not getting enough water or protien (or both) you will stop losing. Try to increase both if you can. I lived on yogurt and cottage cheese (smooshed up) those first few weeks. I know its hard but you can do it. Try not to weight too often as this will get you discouraged. Hang in there. God bless. Jamie (post op 13 weeks and -73 lbs).

Jennifer - Many people experience a slow or non-existent weight loss during the first three weeks (except for the initial 10-15 pound water loss) because your body is adjusting to the shock of surgery and all the changes. Don't be alarmed, soon the pounds will start to melt away, I know mine did. I am now just over 3 months out and have lost 75+ pounds. Hang on, it will happen. As far as hurting when you drink water, I had that problem as well. I found that if I drank tea, coffee (I know, I know, not supposed to "do" caffeine), or even warm water, that helps it not hurt as much. This too passes. Good luck with your journey and try to be patient.

Jennifer, Darn those dreaded plateaus. Have you eveluated your diet? Are you getting in enough calories? Your body may be in starvation mode and storing fat instead of burning. If you aren't taking in enough calories (weird to think this) then maybe add some to the daily intake. Just a thought. Jamie

Angel flying in with an update on Jennifer Autry- Talked to Jennifer this morning, she's waiting to have her leak test, so she can drink some water! It's scheduled for 11 AM. She's been walking the halls and is not in alot of pain. That "pain buster" ball really works great! I plan on visiting her this afternoon. More news later.
