Hi Nicole :) Sorry to hear about your cold. I am 4 1/2 months post-op and still can't handle pills. Anything bigger than a pencil's eraser is something you need to avoid as it can block the stoma. Also, avoid ibuprophen as it can cause ulcers in the stomach lining. Tylenol is ok. There are a number of different liquid meds that are safe to take, and I would check with your surgeon to be on the safe side. I live in Lake Forest, Orange County, CA, by the way :)

Nicole, Sorry about the cold. Try Exedrin Quick Tabs. They have the same pain killer as Tylenol, plus a little caffiene, and they dissolve in your mouth. No pills to swallow. Not too terrible tasting, kind of minty with a medicine kick. And you can wash the taste out of your mouth with water. They have been a life saver for me. Good luck. Carole

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**
