Dana, I am not a mean person and you do not know me, however what you have said about Dr. Rose and Brian really makes me upset. I have never met a such a wonderful bunch of people as I have at Live-Light. First of all Brian is not a salesman, he is a very nice and intelligent man who explains to you all aspects of the types of surgery and what you can expect. If you thought of him as a salesman you must not have went into the meeting with a positive attitude about having this surgery, you have to have your heart and mind into it before it will actually work for you. Also, who went to this meeting to expecting to find out the cost of the surgery. I knew it was going to be a lot and wasn't worried because I have insurance. If you wanted to know the cost, you should have asked. Brian answered every question I had. Second, I don't know which Dr. Amy Rose you had, but the one I had was a wonderful caring doctor whom has helped me through every little downfall. I had this surgery on June 18, 2001 and I am doing great. I have lost 40 lbs. and have had a few ups and downs with nausea. I followed Dr. Rose's instructions to a T. If I wasn't suppose to eat it I didn't and I have not been sick (vomiting) at all. You can not eat the things you ate before. This is a lifestyle change and if you went into it thinking you could cheat and eat what you want you should have never had this surgery. I'm not going to tell you it has been easy, there have been times when I really wanted something sweet but I knew it would make me sick. You can never again have anything with sugar in it, and to me I do not want anything with sugar. Sugar is what made me what I was, FAT. If you want to succeed, try changing your attitude and do away with the old you and you will succeed. I am doing great and have met a lot of new friends at Live-Light and wouldn't change a thing. I hope you are successful, don't give up! Kim H.
