Hi Dee Dee, I am happy to hear that you are doing so well. Take care and God Bles you and your family. I was sad to when I heard about the death of Brandi. I am pre-op and this is the worst fear I have. Hearing that you are doing so well gives me hope that I will survive too. take care Margaret

I just made it to the other side and I look forward to seeing you there. It's sort of surreal. Take care. Soon you will be a loser too.

I read this somewhere and just loved it, Butterflys are a great symbol of WLS patients. Like the caterpillar, we move slowly. We are not particularly attractive - and most of us are a bit round. Soon, we enter the cocoon stage, where we hide from everyone and everything, and EAT and SLEEP. Then, after WLS we emerge from the cocoon, spread our wings, and when they are dry, we fly off, seeking summer flowers. I love the analogy, and can't think of a thing that is better. So, first the butterflies in your stomach, and in your thoughts - pretty soon, you will have them in your heart, and you will be so proud of yourself, and feeling darn good, too!" Best of luck. Don't forget to wiggle your new wings. :) May God Bless You and Yours.

Dee Dee, I am so very very excited for you. I can't wait for you to become one of my WLS siblings. I know you are scared right now, but don't worry too much, you are going to do fine. You have such a wonderful surgeon. I keep on hearing so many great things about him more and more. I will be praying for you today as you go drink that wonderful cocktail (NOT) and while you go into surgery. Here's to a good life.
